Welcome to Freedom to Eat Nutrition

Hi! I'm so glad you're here!

My name is Olivia, and I am the founder and owner of Freedom to Eat, which I created to help people just like you who are struggling with a difficult and disordered relationship with food.

I completed my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Masters of Arts in Dietetics from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. After completing a 1200 hour supervised internship and passing a national registration exam, I began my career working at an eating disorder treatment facility in the Dallas area. There I worked with individuals suffering from all different types of eating disorders at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization level of care. While there, I noticed how difficult it often was to help individuals from rural areas find adequate outpatient support to continue on their recovery journey. As someone who grew up in a small town in Kansas, I have a deep appreciation for charming small towns, and fully believe that individuals should not have to receive poorer quality care just because of where they live. I founded Freedom to Eat in 2022 as a way to help bridge this gap in care that I had observed.

Whether you are just beginning your recovery journey or have been working towards healing for a while, I am here to offer compassionate care and evidence-based strategies to help you on your path to freedom.

Don't hesitate to reach out and schedule a consultation. Let's work together towards a happier and healthier future.

Our Philosophy

We believe in compassionate care.

At Freedom to Eat, we know that recovery is incredibly difficult. That's why, no matter where you're at on your recovery journey, we're here to support you. Whether you are: just starting out or have been pursuing recovery for a long time; excited to seek freedom or are feeling afraid; ready to let go of old behaviors or are feeling ambivalent, you need someone to walk along side you. We want to meet you where you're at and help you navigate recovery with compassion.

We believe that all bodies are good bodies.

At Freedom to Eat, we follow a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach. While diet culture may hold certain body shapes and sizes on a pedestal, true recovery recognizes that there are so many more important things in life than body size. We help you to pursue freedom and a more values-aligned life, regardless of the size of your recovered body.

We believe every recovery is unique.

Recovery is not a one-size-fits-all sort of thing. There are a number of factors that make your journey unique, such as your unique identity, background, culture, future goals, and values. You are an individual and deserve a treatment plan that honors that.
